The story of Zov Solutions

Over 20 years ago, Zov Solutions was founded with the mission to develop an end-to-end policy administration solution for the Bulgarian operations of a global insurance company. The solution, named the “Sofia Interim Database” (SID), needed to be both cost-effective and easy to maintain, as it was intended to be an interim measure before the implementation of a major core platform.

Despite its initial purpose, SID quickly proved to be a game-changer. It was rapidly deployed by Zov Solutions, delivering significant benefits to the local team, including streamlined operations, reduced administrative costs, and enhanced data accuracy. This efficiency allowed the team to focus more on strategic growth and customer service, rather than being bogged down by manual processes.

Its unparalleled flexibility for a comprehensive core system caught the attention of the insurer, leading to its adoption as the core platform for numerous operations across Europe, including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and Sweden. In each of these markets, SID met local requirements while delivering common operating efficiencies across the insurance group.

Today, the “Sofia Interim Database” name has remained, but SID has evolved into a powerful, time-tested core platform solution, used by carriers and MGAs across all major European markets to simplify complex insurance processes and help navigate the future.
